Beşikçioğlu wins the race among famous candidates

ERDAL BEŞİKÇİOĞLU

CHP's Etimesgut mayoral candidate in Ankara, Erdal Beşikçioğlu, won the race by receiving over fifty percent of the vote. Beşikçioğlu finished approximately 20 points ahead of his closest rival, the MHP candidate, in Etimesgut.

HAKAN PEKER

Singer Hakan Peker, who participated in the election race as the IYI Party's mayoral candidate for the Safranbolu district of Karabük, finished in 5th place.

DAVUT GÜLOĞLU

Folk singer Davut Güloğlu also entered the election from Düzce as the candidate for the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi). Güloğlu lost the mayoral seat in Düzce to his AK Party rival.

GÖKHAN ZAN

Footballer Gökhan Zan, who joined the race as a candidate for Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, received 2 percent of the vote.

NASUH MAHRUKİ

Famous mountaineer Nasuh Mahruki, who participated in the race as an independent candidate from Beşiktaş, Istanbul, failed to get elected.

MESUT YAR

Presenter Mesut Yar received 10 percent of the vote in the election race he joined as an independent candidate from Datça, Muğla. He also finished third.

İRFAN DEĞİRMENCİ

Television personality İrfan Değirmenci, who was nominated as the TİP candidate for Çankaya, Ankara, finished the election race in 3rd place.
