Bilal Erdoğan's 'slippery people among us' outburst! Who are these words for?
Speaking at an event he attended in Erzincan, Bilal Erdoğan, son of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said, "If we had made our President a little stronger, Israel would not have been able to commit this genocide. But we have diminished our President's power and energy with these seditions among us, these slippery people among us, and the premiums we have given to these traitors among us."
The Erzincan Industrialists and Business People Association (ERSİAD) organized a program titled "The Mission of Erzincan Business People in the Century of Turkey."
Bilal Erdoğan, son of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, also attended the program. Delivering a speech there, Erdoğan argued that the Turkish economy is growing.
Stating that Turkey's population was 67-68 million 25 years ago and the national income was 200 billion dollars, Erdoğan said, "What is the point we have reached? A Turkey of 86 million, with a national income of 1.5 trillion dollars. A Turkey that has grown more than sevenfold."
Claiming that the per capita national income will rise from 3 thousand dollars to 18 thousand dollars, Erdoğan continued his words as follows:
"When looking at national income in terms of purchasing power, Turkey will rank 11th in the world by the end of this year. Our President's prudent, determined leadership is, of course, what makes all the difference. This is how our President has become the most respected leader in the international system today. But we also see that Turkey's effectiveness has increased thanks to that economic power. Think about it, a 200 billion dollar economy in 1999-2000. Today, exports alone have exceeded 270 billion dollars. On top of that, 120 billion dollars in service exports, and on top of that, 64 billion dollars in tourism revenue. In other words, we have become a country that can respond to this much production from the world."
Stating that economic power has increased Turkey's global effectiveness, Erdoğan compared the past with the present and said:
"But we also see that Turkey's effectiveness has increased thanks to that economic power.
"IT IS CLEAR THAT THESE ARE FETÖ MEMBERS, TRAITORS, AND SCOUNDRELS"
Expressing that Turkey's political influence has also grown with the increase in economic opportunities, Erdoğan argued that despite this, society does not stand behind this power enough. Touching upon the debates carried out on social media, Erdoğan used the following expressions:
"As a nation, we do not fully stand behind this sentiment. Today, a few pathetic FETÖ members can still stir up public opinion in Turkey via social media from the centers of treason where they have fled and gone. They can still spread absurd, lying, slanderous rumors to the Turkish public. It is clear that these are FETÖ members, it is clear that these are traitors, it is clear that these are scoundrels. Why are there still people who can trust their news and spread their news?
Why do we allow our agenda to be determined by traitors? Why shouldn't Turkey's agenda be, 'Together, we will continue this 20-year growth adventure for another 20 years.'? Why shouldn't a 1.5 trillion dollar Turkey become a 3 trillion dollar Turkey? Look, it has grown by an average of 5.4 percent in 23 years. What happened in these 23 years? If we were to make a small summary; the party closure case, the global financial crisis, the biggest global economic crisis of the century occurred in the world, coup attempts, the December 17-25 events, the earthquakes we call the disaster of the century, the pandemic, think about the wars in our region. While all this was happening, we grew by 5.4 percent in 23 years. While the whole world grew by 3.3, that is how you go from 200 billion to 1.5 trillion. If these had not happened, it means we would have been 2.5 trillion dollars, not 1.5 trillion."
"IF WE HAD MADE OUR PRESIDENT A LITTLE STRONGER..."
Expressing that Turkey has a much greater potential, Erdoğan argued that it possesses the energy to enter the world's top five economies:
"Turkey carries the energy to perhaps enter the top five economies in the world. But we need to broaden our perspective. This sense of unity is very important. What would happen if no one let anyone speak ill of our President who represents this country in the world? What are we missing? Isn't it worth standing behind our President? What would happen if we all stood together behind our President, who has served this country so much, brought the country from here to there, and is one of the most respected leaders in the world today; what would we lose?"
"SLIPPERY PEOPLE AMONG US" OUTBURST
Arguing that if the support had been given more strongly in the past, Turkey could be at a much different point today, Erdoğan continued as follows:
"If we had made our President a little stronger, Israel would not have been able to commit this genocide. But we have diminished our President's power and energy with these seditions among us, these slippery people among us, and the premiums we have given to these traitors among us. We have diminished this country's power and energy abroad. We could have been much stronger. We will be, God willing. But we must ensure this unity of ours before it is too late. And then our horizon, our vision."
"YOUNG PEOPLE WANT TO MAKE MONEY THE EASY WAY"
Touching upon his contacts with young people, Erdoğan stated that he encountered a remarkable picture during his visits to schools. Noting that young people want to make money quickly and effortlessly, Erdoğan said:
"We should not hold up people who have become rich the easy way as examples in our country. When we hold up those who become rich the easy way as examples, we corrupt society."
TOUCHED ON FERTILITY RATE
Drawing attention to Turkey's demographic structure, Erdoğan stated that the fertility rate has fallen below 1.5. Saying that this will have serious consequences, Erdoğan made the following assessment:
"Normally, if it were 2.1, you would maintain the average age of the population. Falling below 1.5 means Turkey is aging rapidly. 10-15 years ago in Turkey, the number of students in the first grade was over 1.5 million. Today it is 930 thousand, can you believe it? Do you know what it means for it to fall? It means Turkey's population will fall below 50 million in the year 2100. Then, in a world of 10 billion, how influential can a Turkey of 50 million be? How strong can it be? This is not an economic issue."
