Bloody body models removed: Lifeless mannequins in front of horror houses in İzmir collected
Bloody models hung at a horror house in Alsancak, İzmir, were removed on the grounds that they were reminiscent of the recent murder case in Istanbul. Following complaints, municipal teams removed the mannequins, and judicial and administrative proceedings were initiated against the business.
A bloody head, a headless bloody body model, a skull, 3 horror mannequins, a bloody child model, and a bloody arm and hand model, which were hung on the exterior of a horror house on 1485 Street in Alsancak, İzmir, for advertising purposes, were removed because they were reminiscent of the incident in which Semih Çelik (19) murdered İkbal Uzuner (19) and Ayşenur Halil (19) at the Yedikule walls in Fatih, Istanbul, on October 4.
Following the complaints, the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality police teams removed the boards and plastic mannequins hanging at the horror house one by one.
In a statement regarding the matter, the İzmir Governor's Office said, "In a post made on the X social media platform on October 6, 2024, it was stated that the boards and plastic mannequins hung for advertising purposes by a business licensed as a Game House (Horror House) operating in the Alsancak district of Konak were causing discomfort. Necessary inspections were carried out at the workplace by our officers from the Alsancak Police Station, the materials in question were removed from where they were located, and judicial and administrative proceedings have been initiated against the business owners."
