Bloomberg: Iran preparing to attack Israel with ballistic missiles: 'There will be consequences'

The US-based Bloomberg has claimed that Iran is preparing to attack Israel with ballistic missiles.

According to a senior White House official cited in the report, the US has indications that Iran is preparing to launch an imminent ballistic missile attack against Israel.

The official, who requested anonymity, stated that the "US is actively supporting preparations to defend Israel against a potential attack that would have severe consequences for Iran."

'THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES FOR ATTACKING ISRAEL'

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that the US had informed Israel about a potential Iranian missile attack.

Stating that there was no immediate threat from Iran toward Israel at this time, Hagari expressed that Israel is prepared to defend itself and to strike back.

Hagari warned that there would be "consequences" if Iran attacks Israel.

ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON LEBANON

The Israeli army, which has been engaged in controlled clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, launched hundreds of airstrikes on September 23 against southern Lebanese cities as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions.

According to Lebanese authorities, a total of 1,273 people have been killed, including 104 children and 194 women, since September 17, when communication devices used by Hezbollah were detonated.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in airstrikes carried out by the Israeli army on Beirut on September 27.

Hezbollah is responding to Israel with rockets and missiles. No major damage has been reported in these attacks, which mostly target military bases on the Israeli side.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced within the country due to Israeli bombardment.

While the wave of migration from the southern parts of the country toward the capital Beirut and the north continues, it is reported that tens of thousands of people have migrated to Syria.

Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated by Israel at his residence in Tehran on Wednesday, July 31.
