Bodies of mother and baby found in 4-story building in Beyoğlu

Following reports of foul odors coming from the first floor of a 4-story building on Büyük Kırlangıç Street in the Bülbül neighborhood of Beyoğlu, local residents notified the police, fire department, and medical teams.

Upon arriving at the scene following the report, the teams found the lifeless bodies of a mother, identified as Sauda A., an African national, and her baby inside the apartment. Medical teams confirmed that both the mother and the baby had passed away.

AFAD teams also arrived at the scene and conducted measurements in the apartment. No negative findings were encountered as a result of the measurements.

Police teams cordoned off the street where the incident occurred to take security measures and conducted a detailed investigation inside the building. After the crime scene investigation teams completed their work, the bodies of the mother and baby were placed in a hearse and transported to the Yenibosna Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
