Bones of murder victim Nihal laid to rest after 4 months
It was discovered that 24-year-old Nihal Babayiğit, a hearing-impaired woman living in Serik, Antalya, had been a victim of murder 9 months after she went missing. The bones of 24-year-old Babayiğit were laid to rest after 4 months.
The remains of 24-year-old hearing-impaired Nihal Babayiğit, who was found to have been a victim of murder 9 months after she went missing in Serik, Antalya, were laid to rest following autopsy procedures.

It was discovered that 24-year-old hearing-impaired Nihal Babayiğit, who lived in Serik, had been a victim of murder 9 months after she went missing. Bone fragments believed to belong to Babayiğit were found under trees in the Eminceler neighborhood. The bone fragments, which were located following a site visit by Mehmet Basık, the man she lived with who is currently in custody on suspicion of murder, were sent for autopsy.

The bones, recovered by police, Crime Scene Investigation teams, and the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Cemetery Directorate, were collected in a body bag.

The bones were then placed in a coffin and sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy. Following the examinations conducted there, the bones, which were confirmed to belong to Babayiğit, were laid to rest after 4 months.
