Breaking News: 1 more detention in the 2nd wave of investigation into IMM! When will they be referred to the courthouse?
One more person has been detained out of the 53 individuals for whom detention warrants were issued in the operation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). The total number of detainees has risen to 52. It has been learned that they will be referred to the courthouse tomorrow.
In the second wave of investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the IMM regarding allegations of terrorism and corruption, detention warrants were issued for 53 people, including a large number of high-level executives.
The interrogation of the 51 individuals who were detained began yesterday (April 27) in the afternoon.
