Breaking News: After Şanlıurfa, another armed attack on a school in Kahramanmaraş! 9 people lost their lives

Following the armed attack that took place at a school in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa yesterday, a similar incident occurred in Kahramanmaraş.

It was reported that there were casualties in the armed attack carried out in the courtyard of Ayser Çalık Middle School in the city.

Following the incident, numerous ambulances and police teams were dispatched to the area upon reports from those nearby.

Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer stated, "There is currently an attack. A sad incident occurred at one of our schools. We have received information that there are injured people. We are investigating the matter in depth."

4 DEAD, 20 INJURED

Governor Ünlüer reported that 4 people lost their lives in the attack and there were 20 injured.

It was learned that 1 of those who lost their lives was a teacher and 3 were students, and that 4 of the injured are in critical condition.

Governor Ünlüer stated, "An 8th-grade student opened fire randomly at the school with weapons in their backpack. The attacker used 5 weapons and 7 magazines."

STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR

Minister of Interior Çiftçi said in a statement made in the evening hours that the death toll in the attack had risen to 9. 9 people, 8 of whom were students and 1 a teacher, lost their lives in the attack.
