Breaking News... Bahçeli's Venezuela statement! 'I condemn the attack on Maduro'

Bahçeli said the following regarding the abduction of Venezuelan President Maduro by the US:

"On the very second day of the second quarter of the 21st century, an act of banditry, piracy, and kidnapping, perhaps never before encountered in history, has taken place. The Pirates of the Caribbean movie we watch on the silver screen or on television has unfolded before the eyes of the entire world, and the film set was established in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.

First and foremost, I do not just condemn, I curse the illegitimate and unlawful attack against Venezuela's President Maduro, who was elected to office and whose sovereign equality is legally registered in the international community, with hatred, violence, and in every aspect. This shame, this moral collapse, this cruelty, this disregard for law, this opposition to human rights, this rudeness, and this scandalous act is not a right for anyone, nor is it a privilege for any country."

Even if Maduro has mistakes or errors, their resolution based on armed force cannot be handled within the jurisdiction of another country. The interlocutor is the people of Venezuela. It is a norm of democracy and law that those who come to power through elections should leave through elections, and those who commit crimes should be held accountable before the courts of their own country. 

The Venezuela example will be neither the first nor the last.

However, it is the first time that a head of state has been taken from his bed at midnight by force, along with his wife, through a combined attack plan that began with an intelligence infiltration in his country's capital. This is not something that can happen. It is not a situation to be overlooked. A person has been kidnapped using the new version of banditry tactics of the digital age, or in the terms of international literature, a forced leadership transfer has been carried out. Just as barbarian tribes invaded Rome in history, the same has been staged in Caracas.

The similarity of this picture to the July 15 betrayal experienced in our country is also striking.

The method used in the despicable attempt directly targeting our President while he was in Marmaris during the uprising carried out by FETÖ in Turkey on July 15, 2016, is identical to the method targeting Maduro today.

The US, which attacked us by using the spy and Hashshashin organization as a pawn on July 15, has intervened directly in Venezuela instead. The FETÖ betrayal, which was shattered by the rising will and struggle of the Turkish nation, and the midnight coup in Venezuela are products of the same lathe and the same project. The only difference is that one did not sleep and resisted, while the other slept and surrendered.

Is our sincere effort and goal regarding the internal front understood now?

Is our insistence and will for a 'Turkey without terrorism' goal understood now?

Is our uncompromising decision and determination in defending our national unity, brotherhood, and solidarity understood now?

Is the saying 'A person who does not love the Turk cannot be a Kurd, and a person who does not love the Kurd cannot be a Turk' understood now?"

STERN MESSAGE TO THE SDG: EITHER BY CONSENSUS OR BY FORCE!

Touching upon the 10 March agreement signed by the SDG, the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK, with the Damascus administration, which has since expired, Bahçeli continued his words as follows:

"The fact that the SDG and YPG are following Israel's lead, and the image being created by this Zionist baseness that Mazlum Abdi is being prepared to replace the founding leadership of the PKK, will harden the deadlock and chaos. 

The unitary structure, political and territorial integrity of Syria must be established categorically either by consensus or by force; in particular, Arab tribes must stand with the Damascus administration without preconditions."

HE ATTACKED ALİ YERLİKAYA WITHOUT NAMING HIM

At the end of his speech, Bahçeli also reacted harshly to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who announced that the terrorists neutralized in the ISIS attack in Yalova were Turkish citizens.

Bahçeli stated, "Stating that these ISIS terrorists are citizens of the Republic of Turkey is an extremely disturbing and problematic statement. I hope that such thoughtless and problematic assessments, which can be interpreted in any direction, will be carefully avoided. I commemorate our dear martyrs with mercy, gratitude, and respect."
