Breaking News: Bahçeli welcomes DEM Party Imralı Delegation at the door: First statement released after the meeting

The DEM Party Imralı Delegation, consisting of Pervin Buldan, Mithat Sancar, and Faik Özgür Erol, began their round of visits today as part of the new resolution process following the terrorist organization PKK's laying down of arms.

The DEM Party Imralı Delegation first met with Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, and subsequently visited Future Party leader Ahmet Davutoğlu.

The delegation's next stop was the MHP.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli welcomed the DEM Party delegation at the door.

Making a statement after the meeting, Imralı delegation member Pervin Buldan used the following expressions:

"This was the third of the meetings we have held since this morning. We thank Mr. Devlet Bahçeli and his delegation for receiving us. We would like to express that we held a very positive and productive meeting. We exchanged information regarding the stage the process has reached. We informed them. We listened once again to Mr. Bahçeli's positive and constructive views on the process.

'WE NEED EACH OTHER AT THE COMMISSION STAGE'

I would like to state that after this process, our meetings will continue stage by stage with both Mr. Bahçeli and the actors and components of the other opposition parties and the People's Alliance. We need each other at the commission stage as well. We believe there is a need for consultation. We believe there is a need for a common stance. We will inform Mr. Bahçeli as well as the chairmen of other parties at every stage. We will provide all kinds of support and struggle necessary for this process to evolve into a peace process as soon as possible. Once again, I thank Mr. Bahçeli and his delegation on behalf of our delegation."
