Breaking News: Bahçeli's statement on the process! 'Let no one aspire to divisive ambitions'
Speaking at his party's group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli stated regarding the second opening process, of which he is the architect: "A suitable climate has been created for the necessary legal arrangements to be made. From now on, the first goal is to enact all laws in accordance with this purpose. In these days when peace, tranquility, and brotherhood are flourishing, let no one aspire to divisive ambitions. Let no one attempt to sabotage a terror-free Turkey."
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting in the TBMM.
Targeting the CHP, Bahçeli said, "Turkey is not a country that can be managed with the daily polemics and irresponsible statements of the opposition," adding, "In such a sensitive period, those who take sides against the state instead of standing by it, and who speak with the mindset of foreign powers on national issues, will find no response in the conscience of the nation."
Speaking about the operations targeting CHP-run municipalities, Bahçeli said the following:
"The bribery and extortion allegations that have emerged one after another have ceased to be a legal matter and have become a clear indicator that political corruption has permeated every level of the CHP.
No one is untouchable, and no office is a shield of irresponsibility. The rule of law is essential, and it is inevitable that such allegations will be pursued to the end and those responsible will be held accountable."

Highlights from Bahçeli's statements are as follows:
"The Nationalist Movement Party is striving to realize a Turkey where national unity and integrity are fortified, and peace and tranquility prevail, in unity with the People's Alliance, for a stronger state and a more prosperous society. In the coming days, we will strive to reach more hearts by going to our nation with new work programs.
Imperialist powers are trying to expand their network by ignoring or eliminating humanitarian sensitivities. Unfortunately, these developments have become the fate of Muslim geographies. Even if the actors and tools change, the sides do not. On one side are the colonizers, on the other are the oppressed. In Israel, where ideological and theological obsessions prevail, there is a situation involving conflicts with unstable, insecure, and marginalized groups.
Israel has surrounded the region with aggressive policies, primarily in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon. The perception that US Middle East policy has been taken hostage by Israel is causing great anger.
"TRUMP HAS CAUSED DESTRUCTION THAT IS DIFFICULT TO REPAIR"
As stated before, world Jewry needs to see that this state of Israel is unsustainable and harms Judaism, and they must declare this to humanity. In our view, Israel has become a new tool that produces antisemitism, and cleansing it of this perversion is quite important and inevitable for world Jewry as well. The time has come to shout loudly that Israel is not condemned and forced to rely on Netanyahu, and that Netanyahu's policies and approaches do not represent Judaism.
If a regime is to change in the Middle East, it should be Israel. It has become a necessity for United States President Trump to limit Netanyahu and Israel by taking into account the anti-war protests in many countries, including his own. Trump, who came to power saying he would end wars, has caused a wound that will not close and destruction that is difficult to repair with this war.
While all these audacious and reckless attacks continue, both friend and foe must know that as Turkey, we stand firmly on Anatolia, and our eyes and ears are in Tabriz, Urmia, Hamadan, Kirkuk, Mosul, and Erbil. For us, it is not just a neighbor, but the country of our religious and linguistic brothers. The Seljuks of Tughril Beg, the Aq Qoyunlu of Uzun Hasan, the Afsharids of Nader Shah, the Safavids of Shah Ismail; Iran is Khalaj, Turkmen, and Qashqai to us. It is brotherly with its Turks, Persians, Kurds, and Arabs. The time is to set aside past mistakes, behaviors that do not comply with the law of neighborliness and brotherhood, and internal rights deprivations, and to stand by the Iranian people against this immoral attack, siding with justice and law against Zionist cruelty.
Being human is enough to stand against this alliance of evil and corruption that kills children, destroys Gaza with tens of thousands of bombs and missiles, touches the sacred in Jerusalem, devastates Lebanon, and pits Islamic countries against each other. Moreover, the Turkish nation has always stood by the oppressed against the oppressor. The fact that the war does not prolong and a ceasefire is achieved as soon as possible is undoubtedly an urgent need for the future of the world. However, it must be stated with regret that the spread of the war will lead to increases in oil, natural gas, and their derivative products, as well as food prices, migration from the Arab geography in the Gulf, irreversible destruction and ruin in Lebanon, conflict in the Red Sea and the closure of the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, Iraq entering a new process of uncertainty and conflict, and Israel putting the lives of Jews all over the world at risk, leading to the rise of antisemitism and the strengthening of the roots of radicalism. That is why I say that the world should not remain a place where the price of unjust and unlawful aggression is not paid. It should not be a world where massacres committed without regard for babies, children, women, and the elderly go unpunished. The world should not turn into a place where those who strike refineries, gas fields, oil production sites, and power plants, causing environmental disasters, can roam freely. It should never be left to the mercy of those who turn their backs on human rights and freedoms, labor, sweat, tears, and the search for justice and equality.
"THE WORLD MUST RESPOND TO THE DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS TURKEY IS SINCERELY CONDUCTING"
Therefore, the world must respond to the diplomatic efforts Turkey is sincerely conducting and show the wisdom to develop a common stance against the war. The oppressed countries of the world and humanity waiting for a helping hand are looking for hope. For this reason, as the Nationalist Movement Party and the People's Alliance, along with our responsibility to protect the peace and prosperity of our nation, our solid and sovereign rights, we have responsibilities that we cannot neglect, shaped in the triangle of justice, morality, and reason, toward Islamic societies, the Turkish world, and all of humanity.
"IF NECESSARY, WE WILL THROW THE SEVEN NATIONS INTO THE SEA AGAIN AND BRING THEM TO THEIR KNEES"
A Turkey that has reached the goal of being a leader country and a superpower will be a hope for oppressed nations and the global order with its construction of a justice-based civilization. I say to those who target Turkey with their hostility: just as our ancestors tore up and threw away the maps drawn at imperialist tables a century ago, we will tear them up again; if necessary, we will throw the seven nations into the sea again and bring them to their knees. For, as in the lines of Namık Kemal, the majesty of our ancestors is well-known; do not think that nature changes, that blood is still that same blood.
Dear deputies, looking at international developments, it does not seem possible to express that developments are taking place that will relieve the global conscience, strengthen our hope for the peace of humanity, and lead us to look to the future with hope. Savage and bloodthirsty imperialism does not stop exhibiting new examples of lawlessness, injustice, and immorality. The international system is severely wounded and is practically dying. We are going through a period of severe crisis where global balances are changing, regional fault lines are being activated, and political and economic fractures are deepening. In a world where sparks are flying, wars, crises, and even genocides have unfortunately become normalized. Humanity has been forgotten, and the Western value system has completely collapsed. The spread of wars, the erosion of international law, the deepening of energy crises, and the targeting of innocent civilians are causing the human conscience to undergo a severe test. I fear that the world is rapidly drifting toward a multipolar spiral of tension. Living in a world where babies in cradles, children in schools, and the elderly in hospitals are brutally murdered is a source of indescribable sadness for noble nations like ours that consider preserving human values a reason for existence. It is shameful for humanity that the sound of gunfire rises while the voices of babies and children are silenced. This course of events is not a good sign, and putting a stop to it is a necessity and a duty for everyone who calls themselves 'human'.
The United States and Israel do not have, and should not have, the right to attack Iran or any other country that refuses to be dominated whenever they want. The realization of possibilities such as targeting nuclear facilities, rendering energy lines dysfunctional, and closing strategic transit points will lead to consequences that are very difficult, perhaps impossible, to compensate for in many areas, from the world economy to international security. While the endangerment of critical sea routes, especially the Strait of Hormuz, causes serious fractures in energy supply, this situation has already begun to deeply shake not only regional countries like Turkey but the global system. Indeed, with the announcement that the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have joined the war, the increase in military activity in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait after Hormuz is of a nature that could deepen energy security risks and supply chain problems. Even more dire is that the increase in the dosage of mutual threats, the weakening of diplomatic channels, and the silence and ineffectiveness of international organizations, especially the United Nations, point to the possibility of an uncontrolled escalation. Even hints at the use of nuclear weapons clearly show the abyss toward which humanity is being dragged. In this framework, we invite the international community to common sense, moderation, and acting with a sense of responsibility. We emphasize once again that the Zionist imperialist murder network created by the United States and Israel must come to its senses.
"CYPRUS IS A NATIONAL CAUSE FOR US"
Cyprus is a national cause and an indispensable issue of sovereignty for us. Let no one expect us to leave the TRNC alone. Uncertainties are increasing in a wide area ranging from energy supply security to food supply. By keeping the love and affection between us alive, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome under the shadow of our crescent-and-star flag with a common future goal. Our unity and solidarity manifest in the love of the homeland, and our National Anthem, which begins with 'Fear not', does not allow passage to the oppressor.
A terror-free Turkey will also contribute to regional stability. A suitable climate has been created for the necessary legal arrangements to be made. While its surroundings are besieged by all kinds of attacks, it will be our most effective weapon. It has illuminated our horizon like a pole star in our state and national life. There is a necessity to avoid actions that will provoke the process. Like the compassion of our state, its power is strong enough to reach everywhere.
TARGETED THE CHP
I would like to state clearly that every statement, every action, and every provocation aimed at weakening Turkey's internal front directly targets our national security. The Republic of Turkey is not a country that can be managed with the daily polemics, cheap political calculations, shallow debates, and irresponsible statements of the opposition. Especially in such a sensitive period, those who take sides against the state instead of standing by it, and who speak with the mindset of foreign powers on national issues, will find no response in the conscience of the nation. CHP-run municipalities, which are the subject of new scandal news every day, are disturbing the collective conscience. The bribery and extortion allegations that have emerged one after another have ceased to be a legal matter and have become a clear indicator that political corruption has permeated every level of the Republican People's Party. This grave picture gives the impression that a deeply rooted distorted mentality, a rotten political understanding, and a corrupted management structure prevail in the Republican People's Party. Those who should be the trustees of the city have, alas, betrayed the trust and reached the peak of corruption.
"NO ONE IS UNTOUCHABLE"
It appears that the political and social moral understanding of the Republican People's Party, the party of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, has changed and eroded. Favoritism, corruption, and the distorted networks of relationships intertwined with them have deepened. However, no one is untouchable, and no office is a shield of irresponsibility. The rule of law is essential, and it is inevitable that such allegations will be pursued to the end and those responsible will be held accountable.
SECOND OPENING PROCESS
Dear deputies, the establishment of national unity and solidarity will be possible with a nation understanding built on common values and the past, and a common march toward the future. By keeping the love and affection between us alive, strengthening our bonds of brotherhood, as long as we are one and together under the shadow of our crescent-and-star flag on our homeland with a common future goal, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome, no difficulty we cannot handle. Our unity and solidarity manifest in the love of the homeland, and our crescent-and-star red flag, the symbol of our independence, takes shape wherever it waves. Our National Anthem, which begins with 'Fear not', does not allow passage to oppression and the oppressor.
The terror-free Turkey process aims to make the environment of peace and tranquility in Turkey permanent while also contributing to regional stability. A terror-free Turkey is a project of national unity and brotherhood. The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, which was established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and performs an important task, has completed its work, the joint commission report has been accepted, and a ground for social consensus has emerged.
