Breaking News... Burcu Köksal, facing expulsion from CHP, resigns! Date for joining AKP revealed

While rumors that Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal would resign from the CHP to join the AKP remained on the agenda, a flash move came from the CHP.

Köksal was referred to the disciplinary board with a request for permanent expulsion on a 'precautionary' basis.

CHP Spokesperson Zeynel Emre made the following statement regarding Köksal: "My upbringing does not allow me to repeat what she said to the ruling party; she was shouting 'Jackal!' at them from the podium. As of today, she is not in the CHP. As the administration, I would like to announce here that we have referred Burcu Köksal to the disciplinary board with a request for permanent expulsion. Now, goodbye, wherever she goes."

ERDOĞAN WILL PIN HER BADGE

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to pin the AKP badge on Köksal at his party's Extended Provincial Chairs Meeting tomorrow.

Pro-government journalist Sinan Burhan had claimed that Köksal had deleted her CHP membership via e-Devlet.
