Breaking News... Date crisis in the IMM case! Chief Public Prosecutor's Office states 'Hearing date has not been set'

Following the acceptance of the indictment in the IMM case, while the preparation of the preliminary proceedings report was awaited, a record that appeared in the UYAP system today drew attention. The system contained information that 402 suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, would appear before a judge for the first time at the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court on December 18, 2025, at 13:45.

However, this information was invalidated shortly after by a notification published via UYAP titled "hearing cancellation." The notification stated that the IMM case, numbered 2025/318, which had been assigned that date, was cancelled as of December 18, 2025.

CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE: "NO HEARING DATE HAS BEEN SET"

Following the developments that caused confusion, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a statement denying the claims regarding a hearing date. The statement said,

"The Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court has not yet carried out preliminary proceedings regarding the indictment concerning the 'İmamoğlu Criminal Organization.' Only the decision to accept the indictment has been made. News reports claiming that a hearing date has been set do not reflect the truth."

LAWYERS ALSO UNABLE TO ACCESS INFORMATION

Hüseyin Ersöz, one of the lawyers for the IMM case, addressed the cancellation notification on UYAP in a post on his social media account and stated the following:

"An instant 'hearing date cancellation notification' was made via the Celse application. This might be due to an erroneous process. We have not yet been able to reach definitive information. We are trying to learn from the Court's Clerk's Office."
