Detained Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, who was sent back to prison after undergoing an angiography in recent days, has been transferred from İzmir to Istanbul to appear before a panel at the Council of Forensic Medicine.
Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, who was arrested during operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), had been transferred from Silivri Prison to Buca Prison on the 75th day of his detention.
Çalık, who has previously overcome cancer twice, has lost 18 kilograms in prison. After a mass was discovered in his neck, he underwent surgery, and following an angiography last week, he was sent back to prison. He has now been transferred to the Council of Forensic Medicine for the preparation of a medical report.
