AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a statement regarding the ongoing fires.

In a post on his X account, Erdoğan reported that the fires are being tackled with 27 aircraft, 105 helicopters, nearly 6 thousand land vehicles, 25 thousand personnel, and 132 thousand volunteers.

Erdoğan, who announced that 3 thousand 62 fires have been extinguished since the beginning of the summer season, included the phrase “Our fight against forest fires continues 24/7 with our strong air and land fleet” in the visual he shared.

"Turkey is conducting a major struggle against forest fires in the air and on the ground.

To protect our Green Homeland, we are currently on alert day and night with 27 aircraft, 105 helicopters, nearly 6 thousand land vehicles, 25 thousand of our heroic forestry workers, and 132 thousand of our volunteers.

All our relevant institutions, primarily our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, are continuing their work uninterruptedly, with great sensitivity, devotion, and sacrifice under the coordination of AFAD.

We have completely extinguished 3 thousand 62 fires that have broken out in our country since the beginning of the summer season.

I wish success to our heroes who are putting their hearts into the firefighting efforts that are continuing in different regions of our Green Homeland, where we hope to receive good news as soon as possible, and who are working with all their might, and I express my gratitude to each of them for their efforts.

I once again pray for God's mercy upon all my brothers and sisters who were martyred in the fight against the fires. May their souls rest in peace."
