In these days when events that do not befit Turkish politics are taking place, I hope the picture of brotherhood in the AK Party Group will be an example to everyone.

BY-ELECTIONS IN 6 TOWNS

Since the first day we set out, our integration with the nation has continued to grow. We saw the strength of the bridges of affection we have built with our noble nation once again this weekend. We went to the polls in 6 towns to elect Mayors and Council Members. The AK Party won in 4 of them, and our Alliance partner, the Nationalist Movement Party, took the lead in one. The People's Alliance has achieved a very significant success.

In the discussions regarding the CHP's 38th congress, those who held the congress, those who claimed it was tainted by suspicion, and those who took the allegations with their evidence to court to seek their rights are all CHP members. If you will forgive me, they are the ones who have dragged the party of Gazi Mustafa Kemal into the depths of cabaret tables. They are the ones who say 'I took a bribe, I gave a bribe, I gave this much money to this person.' Those who called them the hope of the people yesterday are the same ones who label them as traitors today.

"OUR STRUGGLE IS WITH THE TYRANTS OF FEBRUARY 28"

We did not pay attention to the provocations of political merchants. I also see benefit in this fact being known here. It is of no importance to us who occupies the CHP's chairmanship seat. As the AK Party, our struggle is not with individuals. Our struggle is with the February 28 tyrants who made our headscarved girls cry at university gates.

Those who label as traitors today what they called the hope of the people yesterday are none other than themselves. We are not a party to the seat fight, and we will not be. Our nation's desire and expectation are in this direction; we are obliged to do what befits us.

Who occupies the CHP's chairmanship seat has no significance in our eyes.

As long as it does not harm social peace, public order, and the political institution, the whirlpool in the CHP does not concern us. We do not want to be drawn into this vortex.

'WE WILL CONTINUE TO COMPETE WITH OURSELVES'

My dear fellow travelers, I have to remind you and my noble nation of this once again. Nothing good will come to this country or this nation from a lazy opposition, a visionless opposition, or a combative opposition. Turkey needs an opposition that has vision, horizon, and sensitivity, just as much as it needs a strong, determined, successful, and stable government. Our search for an opposition to compete with us in works, services, and projects has not found a response for the last 23 years. But despite this, we have not exhausted our hopes. I sincerely believe that sooner or later, Turkey will attain an opposition of the quality it deserves. Until that day comes, we will continue to compete with ourselves. While our rivals are busy with their own petty squabbles, as I always say, we only look at our work.

I hope 2026 will be a year when Turkey's international reputation and visibility reach their peak. We attach great importance to the NATO Leaders' Summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8. The fact that Trump will personally attend the NATO summit is important for the alliance. The world's interest in the summit in Ankara is great. We have intensified our preparations for this. We will also use the remaining approximately one month in the most effective way.

Outside of NATO, as you know, we will host the 77th International Astronautical Congress in October. Subsequently, we will organize the 13th Leaders' Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which we see as our family council, in our country. Between November 9-20, we will organize the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference in Antalya. We will see that COP31, with 100 thousand participants from 197 different countries, goes down in history as the largest environmental summit.

'OUR RESPONSE IN THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN WILL BE HARSH'

Unfortunately, there is no end to the crises and wars in our geography. From Gaza to Lebanon, wherever we turn, we encounter the cries of the oppressed that tear our hearts apart. Since the day it was founded, Israel has been performing a function that constantly threatens peace, tranquility, prosperity, and security in our region. The occupation of Palestine and the genocide against Palestinians continue systematically. Look, 73 thousand innocent people have been massacred in Gaza before the eyes of the whole world. This genocide continues both in terms of its massacre dimension and its inhumane isolation dimension. Israel, which has carried out the bloodiest genocide in human history, has simultaneously attacked Iran, and not satisfied with that, has started to occupy Lebanon. Despite the reactions of regional countries, especially Turkey, Israel refuses to withdraw from Lebanon and continues its bloody operations there. Since March 2, the number of those massacred in Lebanon has reached 3 thousand 700, and the number of wounded has reached 11 thousand 400. Israel has also engaged in a treacherous effort to destabilize African countries and the Mediterranean simultaneously. Let no one embark on an adventure; they are chasing a pipe dream. Our response in the Eastern Mediterranean will be harsh.

The Zionist administration is literally a boil, a factory of sedition, constantly producing unrest in a wide geography. Unfortunately, the necessary reaction is not shown by the world to these rule-defying, law-defying, principle-defying, value-defying, and border-defying policies of Israel. Israel, under the administration of the current government, has become spoiled and has become a source of threat not only for the region but also for humanity. The attacks of Netanyahu and his murder network on Syria and Lebanon have reached a point that threatens Turkey as much as these two brotherly countries.

I want everyone to know this once and for all. Syria and Lebanon are two separate, independent states. However, these two states, namely Syria and Lebanon, are also two states that are within Turkey's geography of love and brotherhood. Damascus and Beirut are two sister cities of Istanbul.
