Breaking News: First comment from Özgür Özel on Bahçeli's 'absolute nullity' statement!
CHP leader Özgür Özel described the remarks made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli regarding the 'absolute nullity' claim as 'valuable' and 'important'.
The claim by former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar that “a decision of absolute nullity has been written in the CHP case” has become a major topic on the political agenda.
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, in his statement regarding the claim, said: “The CHP is the most important political institution that has existed since the day the republic was founded. We hope that this institution will not be allowed to be stirred up from within, fragmented, legally damaged, or used for other purposes. Therefore, instead of continuing its path by being divisive, making harsh criticisms, and belittling the people it is with, the CHP should choose to meet with the nation. The CHP should fulfill its historical responsibility.”
The first statement from CHP Chairman Özgür Özel regarding Bahçeli's words on 'absolute nullity' has arrived.
Attending the memorial ceremony held in Ankara for Deniz Gezmiş, Yusuf Aslan, and Hüseyin İnan, Özel stated that he found Bahçeli's remarks to be important.
Özel noted the following:
"The statement made by Bahçeli is a valuable and important statement. A political party does not just show sportsmanship by opposing irregularities against another political party through judicial means. It is also defending the very ground upon which it itself stands. For 1 year, we have been defending not just the CHP alone, but democracy."
