Breaking News... First images from Israel's school attack!

New developments continue to emerge following the attack by Israel and the US on Iran.  

According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, a primary school was targeted in a US-Israeli attack in the city of Minab, in Hormozgan province. 40 students lost their lives and 48 people were injured in the attack.

WHAT HAPPENED?

While the negotiation process between Iran and the US was ongoing, Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran in the morning hours.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that Israel had launched a "preemptive strike" on Iran. US President Donald Trump also announced that they had launched a "major operation" against Iran.

The cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Karaj, Qom, Tabriz, Bushehr, Kermanshah, and Ilam were targeted as part of the attacks.

While Israel and Iran closed their airspace, a state of emergency was declared across Israel and sirens sounded. Warnings were issued directing the Israeli public to shelters ahead of Iran's counterattacks.

The Iranian military announced that it had launched counterattacks against Israel with dozens of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles in response to the attacks by the US and Israel.
