"WRONG EXPRESSIONS WERE USED AGAINST OUR PRESIDENT"

This debate that CHP members are having with other CHP members, this conflict within their own ranks, has turned into a politics of lies where some people are constantly and deliberately trying to conduct and evaluate this business through the AK Party. In particular, Mr. Özgür Özel follows a political style that exceeds boundaries and uses disrespectful expressions against our President in order to cover up his own weaknesses and political inadequacies. And unfortunately, we saw that some people gathered there also used extremely wrong expressions against the Presidential office and our President.

We welcome political criticism with respect. We welcome political protest with respect. Political criticism and political protest have a very important place within the maturity of our democracy. We also always value political criticism. However, we return all expressions that go beyond political criticism and amount to political insult, targeting, and political threats to Mr. Özgür Özel and some individuals who used these expressions there. Actually, it is not even worth dwelling on, but unfortunately, since it was broadcast on television, we have to put these issues on our agenda. None of the words they say can come close to our President. Those who say these words only have these words written next to their own names. Of course, we take a very respectful stance regarding political protest and political criticism. But when it comes to issues like blackmail, threats, using expressions that exceed boundaries, and insults, I say it very clearly: We will never allow political bullying and political banditry.

"WE WILL SETTLE THE SCORE"

Look, the expressions used over these past couple of days have completely exceeded boundaries. Our President is our red line. Let no one have any doubt that we will wage the clearest and most effective struggle against those who use these expressions, both before the law and through legitimate politics.

Of course, our desire is for an environment where common sense, calmness, reason, political wisdom, foresight, and facts are discussed to prevail. The choice is theirs. We have great respect for our citizens who are there to exercise their right to protest and their right to criticism. We have great respect for the citizens who have devoted their hearts to the Republican People's Party and are present there to exercise their right to protest and criticism. However, we will also settle the score before the law with those who mingle among them and use this ugly style, and who use this style of threat, blackmail, and insult against the Presidential office, our party, and our friends.

"WE ARE NOT ANYWHERE IN THIS INCIDENT"

My dear friends, the point reached today is essentially, even if a lot of agendas are mixed into this, nothing more than the judiciary investigating and concluding certain allegations that emerged as a result of the internal conflict and internal struggle of CHP members. How did the picture that emerged after the judicial ruling issue begin? In no way was any political party, the AK Party, the People's Alliance, or other opposition parties a party to this incident. We are still not anywhere in this incident. The initial allegations were brought to the agenda by people who have served as deputies, mayors, and executives in the Republican People's Party, and who are still actively engaged in politics within the Republican People's Party. The management of the Republican People's Party under Özgür Özel chose another path instead of taking these seriously and evaluating them. The judiciary took action in the face of these allegations, which were again brought to the agenda by Republican People's Party members, mayors, deputies, and executives. This picture emerged as a result of the evidence found by the judiciary and the evaluations made by the judiciary. Therefore, trying to create an agenda here as if we are a party to this issue is a method that the Özgür Özel administration and the Özgür Özel team have used from the very beginning to cover up their own inadequacies.

RESPONSE TO ÖZEL ON 'JUDICIARY ARMS'

Now, Mr. Özgür Özel says this frequently. He says, 'politics is being designed by the judiciary.' Look, since the AK Party was founded, we have focused sensitively on two concepts regarding the design of politics by the judiciary. One is judicial tutelage, the other is judicial activism. And the will put forward by the AK Party in its political struggle and Turkey's most important struggle for democracy is to be against judicial tutelage and judicial activism, just as it is to be against military tutelage. For that reason, we have always defended the supremacy of civilian politics and the immunity of civilian politics in the strongest possible way. Designing politics through judicial activism and judicial tutelage or judicial activity is not politics. It is anti-politics. Therefore, it is contrary to democracy. We have waged this struggle. Of course, just as we are against judicial activism and judicial tutelage, we have also opposed the design of politics through economic corruption and political collapse. Likewise, we have opposed the design of politics through political traps, political tricks, and political games, just as much as we have opposed economic corruption. And today, names who have been involved in politics within the Republican People's Party for a long time are claiming that the Republican People's Party has faced these political games and these political traps. The judiciary is examining it and reaching a conclusion. Therefore, the debate is something that has emerged along with the allegations of Republican People's Party members against other Republican People's Party members."
