Qatar's state-owned QatarEnergy announced it would halt the production of polymers, methanol, aluminum, and similar products. Additionally, it was announced that Iranian fighter jets entering Qatari airspace were shot down. Saudi oil company Aramco also stated that it would review alternative routes, including exports via pipeline to the Red Sea, to avoid passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Katz claimed that they aim to protect Israeli settlements on the border in the face of rising tensions with Hezbollah in Lebanon as Israel expands its occupation.
