Breaking News: İmamoğlu rebels, saying 'Enough is enough!' - 'There is no one left to entrust you to but God'

CHP presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned in Silivri Prison, has reacted to the operations conducted by the government against municipalities and the trials involving detention.

Speaking through the X account named Presidential Candidate Office, İmamoğlu rebelled, saying "Enough is enough!"

Drawing attention to the health condition of imprisoned Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, İmamoğlu also reacted to the detention of Şile Mayor Özgür Kabadayı during a raid conducted at 01:30 AM, stating: "I said it before: Forget about a fair trial, our lives are now in danger. What is being done can be explained neither by law nor by conscience. This is no longer competition; it is clearly hatred."

İmamoğlu concluded his post with the words: "What kind of politician hates their own nation! There is no one left to entrust you to but God."

The full text of İmamoğlu's message is as follows:

"ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Our Beylikdüzü Mayor, my brother Mehmet Murat Çalık, was sent to prison before his treatment was completed; he fell ill again there, was taken to the hospital, and underwent an angiogram.

To the lawlessness committed at dawn, midnight raids have now been added. Our Şile Mayor, Özgür Kabadayı, was detained in a raid on his home at 1:30 AM.

I said it before:

Forget about a fair trial, our lives are now in danger. What is being done can be explained neither by law nor by conscience.

This is no longer competition; it is clearly hatred.

What kind of politician hates their own nation! There is no one left to entrust you to but God."
