Breaking News: Joint operation by MIT and Police against PKK in Istanbul

As a result of a joint operation conducted by the MIT Presidency and the Istanbul Provincial Police Department, Sadık Topaloğlu and Mehmet Savaş, who were determined to be involved in the PKK's intelligence structure and operating in Istanbul, were apprehended and arrested.

According to information obtained from security sources, the PKK's so-called intelligence structure was uncovered as a result of intensive efforts by the MIT. Halil Kod Sadık Topaloğlu and Mehmet Savaş were identified as working within the organization's so-called intelligence structure. Following the joint operation carried out by the MIT Presidency and the Istanbul Provincial Police Department, Halil Kod Sadık Topaloğlu and Mehmet Savaş, who were determined to be tasked within the PKK's intelligence structure and operating in Istanbul, were captured in Istanbul.

MIT TRACKED THEM STEP BY STEP

Sources stated that the MIT placed Sadık Topaloğlu under surveillance after identifying him as part of the organization's intelligence structure. It was determined that Topaloğlu had traveled to Iraq/Qandil through illegal means to receive intelligence training and had held meetings with Cuma Kod Cemil Bayık, one of the organization's leaders, during the training process. It was revealed that after being assigned to Turkey, Sadık Topaloğlu gathered information for the terrorist organization under the guise of journalism. Furthermore, the MIT determined that they were conducting financial activities on behalf of the organization with Mehmet Savaş and were supplying materials to organization members in Syria through front companies. PKK members Sadık Topaloğlu and Mehmet Savaş, who were captured in the joint operation by the MIT and Istanbul Police, were arrested for membership in a terrorist organization and sent to prison.
