Breaking News... Landmark ruling from the Constitutional Court: Indefinite alimony regulation annulled
An important decision has been reached regarding the practice of indefinite alimony, which has been a subject of debate in divorce cases for years. The Constitutional Court has annulled, by majority vote, the regulation that allows for the granting of indefinite alimony to a divorced spouse.
The provision regarding the payment of poverty alimony after divorce without a time limit was brought to the agenda of the Constitutional Court. The High Court ruled that the regulation providing for indefinite alimony to a divorced spouse is unconstitutional and annulled the rule in question by a majority vote.
With this decision, the existing regulation regarding the practice of indefinite alimony, which has been debated in public and legal circles for years, has been abolished.
