The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced a notable development during its weekly press briefing. The Ministry stated that efforts have been initiated to establish a "de-confliction mechanism" between Turkey and Israel to prevent potential clashes in Syria.

The statement included the following: "The first technical meeting was held yesterday in Azerbaijan to establish a de-confliction mechanism to prevent unwanted incidents in Syria. Work will continue to establish the de-confliction mechanism."

ALIYEV HAD ANNOUNCED: TALKS WERE CONDUCTED QUIETLY

Around the same time, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made a striking statement on the subject at an international forum held in Baku. Speaking at the event titled "Towards a New World Order," which was attended by more than 80 experts from 44 countries, Aliyev shared important information regarding the talks conducted between Turkey and Israel with Azerbaijan's mediation.

Aliyev had said, "We are uncomfortable with the disagreements between these two countries. Azerbaijan mediated the first reconciliation between Turkey and Israel. These were done behind closed doors and we did not announce it."
