"To the Dear Turkish Public,
The IYI Party period in my political life, which I took on as the Founding Istanbul Provincial Chair on November 1, 2017, by assuming all material and moral responsibility, will always remain a precious memory for me personally, with the effort, sincerity, and will we demonstrated.
I have endeavored to engage in politics with an understanding that does not disrespect its past, its struggle, or the values it believes in.
From now on, I will continue to engage in politics with the same respect for our dear nation.
At the point reached today, it is clear that politics in Turkey is proceeding along an increasingly sharp axis of polarization.
In this picture, the expansion opportunities of political structures acting with the search for balance between different political lines are narrowing, and their capacity to produce social resonance is being limited.
I observe with sadness that the strong claim and wave of hope that the IYI Party carried at its founding have not produced the expected effect.
My thoughts, experiences, and observations show that this effort, which we carried out with a sense of responsibility toward our nation, has been thwarted by the tacit alliance of approaches that do not carry the will for growth, and instead of a vision that would mobilize the dynamism of the organization, the re-fortification of a passive continuity has been preferred. Furthermore, this stagnation has been institutionalized by being supported by a central decision, contrary to the expectations of the organization.
Our people see that a clear distance has formed between our expectations for a political breakthrough and the current approach, and that priority has been given to continuing the existing political understanding instead of a new vision that would respond to changing social and political needs.
Faced with this picture, observing that the gap between the values we represent and the current operation is widening every day has created a deep contradiction between my political responsibility and my personal conviction. This incompatibility between the principles we believe in and the actual reality has made it impossible for me to continue my political activities under the roof of the IYI Party.
In this framework, I respectfully submit to the information of our dear nation and the public that I have resigned from my IYI Party membership.
Ersin BEYAZ
