Breaking News: Multiple detentions regarding the building collapse in Konya!
Four people have been detained in connection with the building collapse in Konya. It has been learned that those detained are the owners of the shops located on the ground floor of the building.
A 4-story building located on Beyşehir Street in the Selçuk neighborhood of Konya's Selçuk district has collapsed.
Three of the 5 people trapped under the rubble have been rescued alive, and search and rescue efforts for the remaining 2 people are ongoing.
Following the instructions of the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which launched an investigation into the collapsed building, 4 suspects alleged to have responsibility in the incident have been detained.
It was stated that those detained are the owners of the shops located on the ground floor of the building.
It has been learned that detailed examinations and investigative procedures are continuing at the scene, accompanied by a team of expert witnesses and public prosecutors.
Following the incident, which occurred in the evening hours, a judicial investigation was launched by the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and one deputy chief public prosecutor and 2 public prosecutors were assigned to the case.
