Breaking News... New development in the ship accident off the coast of Kyrenia: 8 people, including the captain, arrested
As evacuation efforts continue for the catamaran-type passenger ship belonging to Filo Denizcilik that capsized off the coast of Kyrenia, it has been announced that the captain and 7 others have been arrested as part of the investigation into the accident. In his latest statement, Minister of Transport Erhan Arıklı reported that the death toll has risen to 8 and that 17 people are still being sought.
Search and rescue operations initiated after a catamaran-type passenger ship belonging to Filo Denizcilik capsized off the coast of Kyrenia in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are ongoing.

CAPTAIN AND 7 PEOPLE ARRESTED

TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel announced in a statement following the accident that a total of 8 people, including the ship's captain, have been arrested.
