"2 THOUSAND 13 TERRORISTS HAVE BEEN NEUTRALIZED"

Rear Admiral Aktürk pointed out that the operations of the Turkish Armed Forces are unconventional, unpredictable, rapid, and continuous, in accordance with the requirements of the field, and stated, "Including the north of Iraq and Syria, 50 terrorists have been neutralized in the last week, and 2 thousand 13 (1 thousand 17 in Iraq/996 in Syria) terrorists have been neutralized since January 1."

"24 TARGETS SUCCESSFULLY DESTROYED BY AIR OPERATION"

Rear Admiral Aktürk made the following statements regarding the air operation carried out against the north of Iraq:

"Furthermore, with the air operation carried out on September 18 against terrorist targets located in Hakurk, Gara, Qandil, and Asos in the north of Iraq, 24 targets consisting of caves, shelters, and depots, which are assessed to also contain terrorists at the responsible level, have been successfully destroyed. In the air operation carried out, a large number of terrorists were neutralized by using the maximum amount of domestic and national ammunition. The impact assessment on the targets is ongoing."

Noting that effective and high-security measures are being taken at the borders, Rear Admiral Aktürk said, "In the last week, 387 individuals, 12 of whom are members of a terrorist organization, attempting to cross our borders illegally have been apprehended, and 1 thousand 657 individuals have been prevented before they could cross the border. Thus, the number of those apprehended while attempting to cross our borders illegally since January 1 has risen to 10 thousand 478, and the number of people prevented before they could cross the border has risen to 76 thousand 989." Rear Admiral Aktürk also announced that a total of 93 kilograms and 192 grams of narcotics were seized in operations carried out on the Van and Hakkâri border line in the last week.

"Israel continues its brutal, total, and disproportionate actions against the Palestinian people. The whole world must be aware that Israel's ongoing unlawful attacks in Palestine will turn into a global catastrophe. It is essential that Israel stops its attacks and a permanent ceasefire is achieved as soon as possible. The establishment of calm in the region is possible through the resolution of the Palestinian issue. We reiterate our call to the international community to recognize the State of Palestine, to support a two-state solution, and to ensure the delivery of uninterrupted humanitarian aid to Gaza."

Rear Admiral Aktürk announced that SOLOTÜRK will participate in the "44th International Sanicole Airshow" to be held in Belgium on September 21-22. STATEMENT ON LIEUTENANTS

Ministry of National Defense sources told members of the press who asked about the latest situation regarding the images from the Military Academy graduation ceremony:

"The process initiated regarding the images reflected to the public after the Military Academy Flag Handover and Graduation Ceremony is ongoing. The preservation and maintenance of established discipline in the Turkish Armed Forces is indispensable. As we have emphasized before, our Turkish Armed Forces view events within the framework of discipline and carry out procedures within the framework of the relevant law/legislation."

EXPLOSION OF PAGERS AND RADIOS IN LEBANON

In response to questions about whether the TSK has taken measures regarding this issue after Israel detonated pagers and radios in Lebanon, Ministry sources replied, "Only domestic and national communication systems and software are used in our Turkish Armed Forces. In the event that a third party is involved in the production process in any way, our additional detailed control mechanisms are operated during the procurement and production process. Measures are reviewed and new measures are developed within the scope of lessons learned after all kinds of developments, such as the operations we carry out, the war in Ukraine, and the Lebanon example. We are conducting the necessary investigations as the Ministry of National Defense regarding this specific incident. Our Turkish Armed Forces have become much stronger in recent years in the fields of communication, information systems, electronic warfare, and cyber with the support of Turkish engineers."

NEWS THAT IRAN WILL SEND BACK 2 MILLION MIGRANTS

Ministry sources said the following in response to questions about whether these migrants would be sent to Turkey after Iran's decision to deport 2 million migrants:

"Deportation is the process of sending someone from the country they are in to the country of which they are a citizen, the country they will transit through, or another country, through law enforcement. It is wrong to infer from Iran's decision to deport 2 million migrants that these migrants will come to Turkey. Our borders are protected by very intensive technological systems. Thanks to the intensive measures taken, the number of illegal migrants attempting to cross our borders is at its lowest level in the last 5 years. We view Iran's increasing measures regarding migrants positively. It is important to be careful against those who try to create a perception through disinformation on this subject."
