Breaking News... New wave of operations at IMM: Two senior executives detained

A new development has occurred at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). As part of an operation carried out early in the morning, IMM Deputy Secretary General Oktay Özel and Head of the Parks and Gardens Department Tuğba Ölmez Hancı were detained by security forces.

A total of 29 people were detained as part of the operation.

It was reported that searches were also conducted at the headquarters of Ağaç AŞ, a subsidiary of the municipality, at the same time. Details regarding the matter are expected to be shared with the public in the coming hours.

No official statement has yet been made regarding the reason for the incident or the content of the detentions.
