A major operation was carried out against the Bolu Municipality during the night. As part of the operation, Deputy Mayor Leyla Beykoz and two municipal council members were detained. The incident occurred around 02:00 AM.
It was stated that the operation was conducted based on allegations regarding sacrificial animal donations collected by the BOLSEV Foundation, which is affiliated with the Bolu Municipality. Information has also emerged that the investigation file involves an amount of approximately 800 thousand liras.
ALLEGATIONS REGARDING SACRIFICIAL DONATIONS
According to the allegations, some individuals claimed that the collected sacrificial donations were not actually used to purchase sacrificial animals and that the money was instead transferred as scholarships for students. This situation constitutes one of the main focuses of the investigation.
According to information provided by journalist İsmail Saymaz, it is reported that among those detained are Deputy Mayor Leyla Beykoz as well as two municipal council members.
