Breaking News... Operations against FETÖ in 45 provinces

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 178 suspects were apprehended in FETÖ operations carried out in 45 provinces over the last 2 weeks, with 67 of them being arrested and judicial control provisions applied to 48 others.

Stating that the proceedings for the remaining suspects are ongoing, Yerlikaya said that the aforementioned suspects were wanted for "being users of the organization's encrypted communication program ByLock, operating within the terrorist organization's 'financial structure, student structure, current structure, military secret structure, and secret structure,' and being in contact with individuals responsible within the organization via payphones."

67 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Minister Yerlikaya made the following statement regarding the operations, which he announced via his social media platform X account:

"In our operations that have been ongoing by our Police against FETÖ in 45 provinces for the last 2 weeks; we apprehended 178 suspects??

? 67 were ARRESTED.

? Judicial control provisions were applied to 48 of them. The proceedings for the others are ongoing.

As a result of the work carried out by our Provincial Police Departments' Counter-Terrorism (TEM) and Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branches, under the coordination of our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and our General Directorate of Security (EGM) TEM Department, KOM and Intelligence Departments;

The suspects apprehended in the operations organized in Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Aksaray, Aydın, Bingöl, Bitlis, Bursa, Çanakkale, Denizli, Edirne, Erzurum, Elazığ, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Giresun, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Isparta, Kayseri, Kars, Karaman, Kocaeli, Konya, Kırşehir, Kırıkkale, Malatya, Manisa, Mersin, Muş, Nevşehir, Ordu, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Samsun, Sivas, Şanlıurfa, Tekirdağ, Tokat, Trabzon, Yalova, and Yozgat;

FUGITIVE FETÖ CONVICTS ALSO CAPTURED

Were wanted for the crimes of being a user of the organization's encrypted communication program ByLock,

Operating within the terrorist organization's "financial structure, student structure, current structure, military secret structure, and secret structure,"

And being in contact with individuals responsible within the organization via payphones.

In the operations, those whose names were mentioned in testimonies and identifications within the scope of FETÖ investigations, and who had finalized prison sentences and arrest warrants against them, were also captured.
