BREAKING NEWS... PKK responds to call to lay down arms! They demand the release of terrorist leader Öcalan

The so-called executive committee of the terrorist organization PKK has responded to the call by terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan for the organization to dissolve itself and for all groups to lay down their arms.

The terrorist organization stated that they support Öcalan's call.

According to Birgün, citing the Firat News Agency, Kandil announced that a ceasefire has been declared effective as of today. The statement indicated that armed groups affiliated with the organization will not carry out any actions as long as there are no attacks against them.

The so-called executive committee argued that Abdullah Öcalan must lead the process for the disarmament to be implemented.

The statement made from Kandil is as follows:

"The statement titled 'Call for Peace and a Democratic Society' made by Leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 27 is a Manifesto of the Age that illuminates the path for all forces of freedom and democracy. We respectfully salute Leader Apo for gifting such a democratic society manifesto to our people and humanity.

It is clear that a new historical process has begun in Kurdistan and the Middle East with this Call. This will also have a major impact on the development of free life and democratic governance worldwide. On this basis, the responsibility belongs to us all; everyone must take ownership of their duties and responsibilities and fulfill them.

Undoubtedly, being able to make such a Call was of historical importance; now, successfully putting its content into practice is of similar importance. As the PKK, we fully agree with the content of said Call and state that, from our front, we will comply with and implement the requirements of the call. However, we want to underline that the democratic political and legal ground must also be suitable for success."

Furthermore, the terrorist organization PKK also demanded that Öcalan preside over the congress for the dissolution and that he be released.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, to whom MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had addressed a call to "end terrorist acts and dissolve," made the long-awaited call, announcing that the PKK should dissolve itself and all groups should lay down their arms. In his call, Öcalan stated, "In this climate created by the call made by Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, the will put forward by the President, and the positive approaches of other political parties toward the aforementioned call, I am making a call to lay down arms and I am assuming the historical responsibility of this call." Öcalan said, "Convene your congress and make a decision for integration with the state and society."

In addition to Öcalan's "Peace and Democratic Society" call, a note he sent was also read, which stated, "While presenting this perspective, undoubtedly, in practice, the laying down of arms and the dissolution of the PKK require the recognition of the democratic political and legal dimension."
