While İmamoğlu's testimony was ongoing, police began intervening against CHP members who came to Çağlayan while blocking the road with a water cannon.
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik called out to the crowd gathered in front of the courthouse, saying, "They are not allowing us to pass to where the bus is. Come here." Subsequently, a scuffle broke out again between the crowd and the police. As the police fired pepper spray for a second time, many people were affected.
