Breaking News: Statement from Devlet Bahçeli regarding the PKK terrorist organization's 'ceasefire' declaration!

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the architect of the new resolution process, evaluated the call for disarmament by terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK terrorist organization's ceasefire announcement.

Stating that the PKK must surrender its weapons to the Republic of Turkey, Bahçeli reacted to the ceasefire announcement.

"The ceasefire announcement is not a correct, balanced, or accurate statement," said Bahçeli, adding, "Because there is absolutely no moral, logical, legitimate, or legal environment that is the scene of mutual relations and struggle between equal and sovereign powers to speak of a ceasefire regime."

"The February 27 Imralı call clearly binds the PKK terrorist organization along with all its other extensions and groups," said Bahçeli, adding, "The claim by the YPG and similar terrorist formations that they are exempt and excluded from the aforementioned call, and the fact that those who voice dissenting opinions share this baseless view as part of a plan, completely contradicts the nature of the organizational and founding leadership."

Using the expression "The one who founded the terrorist organization has demanded its dissolution," Bahçeli said, "Other than this, playing for time, muddying the waters, stalling in a way that destroys and provokes the ongoing positive agenda, and intensifying demands for political and legal regulations is folly."

Bahçeli noted the following in his written statement:

"The goal of a Turkey without terrorism is for history and geography to be sealed with peace, heralded with hope, and equipped with the spirit of peace and brotherhood.

The end of the bloody scourge that has plagued our nation for decades is finally in sight.

The era of armed violence and betrayal, which has escalated to high levels of human and conscientious loss and victimization along with its social, political, economic, security, and societal costs, is about to close.

Moreover, just as there can be no mention of another option or any excuse that could be put forward, no understanding or purpose that could justify separatist terrorism can be brought up.

It is no longer possible to show patience and tolerance for the shadow of terrorism that has fallen upon political and democratic life.

The Turkish nation will not turn a blind eye to the pressure and impositions of external and internal centers, nor will it remain trapped in the narrowing marking of risks and threats.

There is no safe harbor or intermediate station between terrorism and democracy, weapons and politics, chaos and peace, division and unity and solidarity.

Our noble nation is in action with its blessed will and faith to overcome its adverse and ominous fate.

The wreckage of the 41-year-old terrorism and separatism left behind will be cleared through joint effort, the possibilities of common sense, and of course, with sincere, genuine, patient, selfless, and confidence-inspiring moves.

While the bloody traces of terrorism are being erased, its residue and remnants will also be completely scraped away.

Extreme attention, responsibility, care, and vigilance are required to ensure that no road accidents occur, that misunderstandings do not manifest, and that optimistic developments, which have a high degree of sensitivity, are not interrupted/sabotaged.

We have a golden opportunity before us that cannot be thought of as being neglected or violated.

This opportunity must also be procured and secured with shared understanding, dawn, and foresight without falling into delusions.

As a result of the DEM Party's efforts to maintain consistent and stable steps, alongside its common-sense, cool-headed, and warm messages, the path to becoming a party of Turkey will also be opened.

The February 27 Imralı call clearly binds the PKK terrorist organization along with all its other extensions and groups.

The claim by the YPG and similar terrorist formations that they are exempt and excluded from the aforementioned call, and the fact that those who voice dissenting opinions share this baseless view as part of a plan, completely contradicts the nature of the organizational and founding leadership.

The one who founded the terrorist organization has demanded its dissolution.

Other than this, playing for time, muddying the waters, stalling in a way that destroys and provokes the ongoing positive agenda, and intensifying demands for political and legal regulations is folly.

In particular, those who pursue the imposition of a hybridized national structure, and those who recklessly and with preconceived notions open the definition of Turkish citizenship, which finds expression in the current Constitution, to debate, are 'sweetwater' tricksters who dream of interrupting the mobilization for a Turkey without terrorism.

If this mobilization reaches its conclusion on a realistic and broad basis, those who are bound to win, and who are certain to have their chests swell with pride due to the immense peace and happiness environment that will emerge, are of course everyone who meets on the common denominator of a shared destiny.

In our view, everyone is Turkey; it is the entire nation.

The collective conscience is definitively in favor of the permanent and deep-rooted end or termination of terrorism.

There is not the slightest difference of opinion in the execution and implementation of this goal as soon as possible.

Those who serve to prolong, delay, or even sabotage this serious problem and cause discordant and distorted voices to emerge by taking advantage of the cyclical ebbs and flows of time and ground are under a burden they will not be able to account for.

Our Turkey aims to build and revive a future without terrorism through political consensus and social solidarity.

There is no doubt that terrorism is a great and devastating crime against humanity.

Terrorism is the disregard for human heritage and trusts.

The Turkish nation is neither condemned, nor forced, nor deserving of living with terrorism.

The PKK terrorist organization and its affiliated groups must lay down their arms immediately and unconditionally, and even surrender their bloody weapons to the Republic of Turkey.

The ceasefire announcement is not a correct, balanced, or accurate statement.

Because there is absolutely no moral, logical, legitimate, or legal environment that is the scene of mutual relations and struggle between equal and sovereign powers to speak of a ceasefire regime.

Contrary to this, every proposal to be made and every word to be said is a one-sided stalling tactic and is futile.

In a period when global politics and strategic relations are pregnant with many shocking developments, the laying down of arms by the terrorist organization with all its extensions and connections is an irreplaceable necessity.

In today's world picture, where geopolitical fractures are dangerously prevalent, there is a high-level need for the operability and functionality of the spirit of national unity and solidarity.

The separatist terrorist organization must act in accordance with the founding leadership's February 27 call, part ways with weapons without putting forward any conditions, and end its organizational existence.

Other than this, no action, imagination, or effort to postpone will be accepted as innocent or reasonable.

The dangerous and unsettling debates that are becoming increasingly concrete and constantly gaining altitude around the definition of Turkish citizenship, which is a mandatory provision in the Constitution, have a more destructive and poisonous function than freedom of expression and thought, and it is our sincere expectation that this malicious chaos be ended immediately.

Dynamics of regional chaos are extremely active and operational.

The worrying clashes occurring in the Syrian cities of Latakia and Tartus show signs of spreading.

It is understood that externally linked ethnic and sectarian provocations are being comprehensively ordered against our country on one side and neighboring countries on the other.

The global and regional institutional architecture, which is being dragged into a deep and uncontrolled trap of crisis by unconscious and reckless mentalities, is open to all kinds of crises and turmoil.

The dominant and encompassing international system that emerged after the Second World War is on the verge of liquidation with fatal blows.

In contrast, whether a world respectful of the principles of justice, equality, fairness, and dignity will be established, when the political and strategic roadmap will be determined, and how the uncontrolled disarray and disintegration seen in the fields of democracy and law will be recovered is a common pain that closely concerns every person, every nation, and every country.

It is certain that Turkey, which has reinforced its internal peace and tranquility environment with a culture of brotherhood and riveted it with national honor, will add strength to its power and show additional and continuous resistance against global and regional threats.

The Turkish and Turkey Century is the century of peace and tranquility.

The Turkish and Turkey Century is the century of national security while the world is shaking, the pride of the thousand-year-old law of brotherhood, and the heart-felt rush and show of strength of our cherished nation from east to west, from north to south.

For this reason, compliance and adherence to the historic call made by Imralı on February 27, 2025, by the PKK and other extensions and affiliated organizations is mandatory.

The goal of a Turkey without terrorism must be realized immediately, and terrorism must be uprooted from our lives.

Otherwise, whoever carries illegal weapons will pay the price in the heaviest way."
