Two people were injured after an R44-type training helicopter crashed into a field in the Temelli region of Ankara.

The R44-type training helicopter crashed into a field for reasons yet to be determined. Following reports from citizens in the area, numerous fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

The two people injured in the accident were taken to the hospital by medical teams, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.

STATEMENT FROM THE ANKARA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE

The Ankara Governor's Office reported that an R-44 type training helicopter belonging to TUSAŞ crashed within the borders of the Temelli neighborhood in the Sincan district, and that the two personnel injured in the accident were taken to the hospital. In a written statement from the Ankara Governor's Office, it was stated, "At 10:02 today, information was received that an R-44 type training helicopter belonging to TUSAŞ had crashed within the borders of the Temelli neighborhood in our Sincan district."

The statement noted that according to initial findings, the two personnel on board the helicopter were rescued from the accident with injuries, stating, "After initial interventions at the scene, one injured person was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the other by air ambulance." The Governor's Office noted that necessary security measures were taken by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams dispatched to the region following the accident, and the scene was secured. The statement, which indicated that investigation and research efforts regarding the cause of the accident are being carried out by the relevant institutions, stated that the public will be informed about developments.
