US President Donald Trump announced in a statement on the social media platform Truth Social that they will cooperate with many countries to ensure international security in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump stated that they aim to make the region safer and freer with this move.

JOINT INTERVENTION AGAINST IRAN'S THREAT IN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

In his statement, Trump noted that countries particularly affected by Iran's attempts to close the Strait of Hormuz will send warships together with the US to secure maritime traffic in the region. Stating that they have destroyed a large portion of Iran's military capacity, Trump nevertheless warned that threats in the region could persist, cautioning that Iran could weaken security in the area with threats such as unmanned aerial vehicles or mines.

Trump called on countries such as China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the UK to send warships to ensure security in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump requested that these countries join the US to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz and completely rid the region of threats.
