Breaking News: Trustees appointed to 2 companies

Significant steps have been taken regarding Klon Ödeme Kuruluşu and PBM Tech Bilişim as part of operations targeting financial crimes. Within the scope of the investigation coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau for the Investigation of Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering Crimes, it was stated that the two companies provided financial support to illegal betting activities.

Examinations conducted by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) indicated that there are serious suspicions that Klon Ödeme Kuruluşu provided financial infrastructure to groups associated with illegal betting under the guise of providing legal payment services.

It was revealed that the organization used shell companies and complex money transfer methods to transfer illegal betting proceeds into the system. It was determined that numerous convoluted methods were applied in the process of laundering the income obtained from these illegal transactions within the financial system.

In the audit reports prepared by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, it was found that the company provided its virtual POS infrastructure to illegal betting sites, and that despite the names of betting sites clearly appearing among the addresses where transactions were carried out in the company's database, the company continued these operations.

Within the scope of the investigation, trustees were appointed to the two companies, and their management was taken over for the administration of their assets and the supervision of their activities.
