Breaking News: Ümit Özdağ makes harsh statement on Öcalan! 'How can there be such shamelessness?'

Özdağ reacted to the DEM Party-Imralı meeting that took place after MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's call, and the subsequent visits to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Recalling reports that terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan wants to get married, Özdağ asked, "They are seriously talking on television about Öcalan wanting to get married. As if he were just a human... Thousands of young men in this country were martyred before they could even reach their sweethearts. How can there be such shamelessness?"

Özdağ stated that he called IYI Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu to congratulate him on the speech he gave at his party's group meeting.

Özdağ used the following expressions in his statements:

“A person who is a Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly is meeting with Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı. The Turkish Grand National Assembly is one of the three powers in Turkey: legislative, executive, and judiciary. The head of the legislative body is the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş. He has deputies. Does a deputy speaker of parliament go to the feet of a terrorist organization leader to meet with him? This means the end of this parliament. This means the Turkish Grand National Assembly going to Imralı. You think you have been governing the state for 22 years, but you don't know what the state is. You take along Ahmet Türk, whom you removed from office and appointed a trustee to just 3 months ago due to terrorism. Have you become so desperate that you are looking for help from a man you removed from office due to terrorism to stop terrorism? We are reading Öcalan's seven-point text. This text is full of demands for the division of Turkey. This text is full of threats to Turkey. This text is full of demands to establish a new state. What does it say? 'The right of peoples to self-determination' is embedded in the sentence. What does it say? 'I am also capable of supporting the new paradigm supported by Bahçeli and Erdoğan.' Criticizing MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Özdağ said, “The 'New' Nationalist Movement Party has clearly revealed that it is responsible for releasing Abdullah Öcalan and bringing amnesty to the PKK. With this policy, it has fallen into conflict with the Turkish nation, the Turkish state, and Turkey's interests. It has fallen into conflict with their hearts. History will judge Devlet Bahçeli and the MHP headquarters staff who act with him very harshly and will place them where they deserve. The patriotic, Atatürkist, Turkish nationalist base of the Nationalist Movement Party is watching the events and the decisions made by the MHP Chairman and his circle with astonishment and reacting with shame. It has gone from Alparslan Türkeş, who said 'What mosaic, damn it,' to Devlet Bahçeli, who is now preparing to pick daisies in the mountains with terrorists. Devlet Bahçeli thinks that after Öcalan leaves Imralı, they will pick daisies hand in hand in the fields. But this will not happen. Because Abdullah Öcalan will not leave Imralı,” he said.

Özdağ concluded his words as follows:
