Breaking News: Verdict in CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress case
The court has reached a verdict in the lawsuit filed for the annulment of the CHP's Istanbul Provincial Congress held on October 8, 2023. The Ankara 3rd Civil Court of First Instance rejected the application due to the plaintiffs' withdrawal of the case, and also dismissed the request for the annulment of the 38th Ordinary Grand Assembly on the grounds of a "pending lawsuit."
The verdict has been announced in the lawsuit filed for the annulment of the CHP's Istanbul Provincial Congress held on October 8, 2023. The Ankara 3rd Civil Court of First Instance ruled to reject the application for the annulment of the congress due to the plaintiffs' withdrawal from the case.
WITHDRAWAL DECISION IN PROVINCIAL CONGRESS CASE
Upon the plaintiffs' withdrawal of their claims, the court rejected the lawsuit regarding the annulment of the Istanbul Provincial Congress without examining the merits.
GRAND ASSEMBLY REQUEST ALSO REJECTED
The decision also addressed the request for the annulment of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Grand Assembly. The court rejected this request as well, stating that there is another lawsuit regarding the same matter that has been filed in a different court and is currently ongoing.
