Bribery operation at university hospital in Samsun

In an organized crime investigation conducted in Samsun, information was obtained that doctors working at the Ondokuz Mayıs University Health Application and Research Center were receiving bribes through various methods. Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch carried out simultaneous raids on May 12 as part of an investigation conducted under the instructions of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

8 PEOPLE REFERRED TO COURTHOUSE

A total of 18 suspects, including doctors identified as İ.K., Ü.B., M.G.Ö., and H.S.C., were detained on charges of "bribery," "qualified fraud," and "preventing the benefit of public services." Following the operation, the interrogation of the suspects, which included the doctors as well as employees and owners of medical firms, continued at the police station.

Within the scope of the investigation, 10 people, who were relatives of patients suspected of having paid bribes, were released after their statements were taken.

In addition to the 4 doctors at the professor and associate professor level, 4 medical device company employees and owners were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station were completed. It was stated that a total of 8 people were brought before the justice system.
