Brightest comet of the year captured in the skies over Tekirdağ
The Tsuchinshan-Atlas comet has been captured in the skies over Tekirdağ.
Photographer İlker Uskan captured the Tsuchinshan-Atlas comet in the skies over Tekirdağ.
The C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas, the brightest comet of the last 13 years, put on a visual feast in the sky.
Stating that he waited for 3 hours to capture the comet, İlker Uskan said: “Stars and celestial events are among my special interests. I have captured many extraordinary events that have taken place in the sky. I also captured the Neowise comet in July 2020. The C/2023 A3 comet that I captured today was discovered earlier, but I was waiting for today, the date it could be clearly observed from our country. The comet is very difficult to see with the naked eye due to the light pollution caused by the city. For a clear image, I managed to capture the comet together with our city of Tekirdağ using my camera with special equipment from the vicinity of the Metropolitan Municipality building, which is one of the high points of Tekirdağ.”
