Bülent Arınç reacts sharply to those who left boxes in front of his office: 'I pity them'
Former TBMM Speaker Bülent Arınç has issued a statement after boxes were left in front of his office following his remarks regarding Hamas, where he said, "We even send your food from outside." Arınç stated, "I pity them, I feel sorry for them, I feel sorry on their behalf."
Former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Bülent Arınç had previously reacted to the attacks launched by Hamas against Israel with the words, "What power do you have? We even send your food from outside; we meet your technical equipment and needs from outside. You fire two makeshift missiles, and it sounds like a fly buzzing in Israel."
Following these remarks by Arınç, food boxes were left in front of his office as a form of protest.

"THE COMMAND FOR JIHAD APPLIES TO YOU TOO"
Making a statement regarding the matter, Arınç included the following expressions:
"I pity them. I feel sorry, I feel sorry on their behalf. Because they say we are members of an association. I provided that association with more help than even their own fathers did. They think this is a jihad. Well, if you think so, the command for jihad applies to you too. Pack your bags, go there. You too, do your best as a mujahid. Become a martyr there. You won't. I say, you can't even get out of your warm bed. There is a series called FAUDA; I watched it. And I recommend it to all of you to understand the true nature of this issue.
"EMBRACE EACH OTHER FIRST"
Knowing all these facts, you haven't even been able to ensure unity in your own district. The conflict between Ramallah and Gaza was greater than the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Embrace each other first. Let's hold an election together and see. Who will take you seriously? No one but Turkey has taken you seriously. Do not put Turkey in trouble. Only the sorrow and the burden fall on us. We are trying to rebuild your destroyed cities. We provide food aid, we do this and that. The Mavi Marmara incident happened during my time. I was the acting Prime Minister. God knows what we went through.
"I FEEL SORRY ON THEIR BEHALF, I PITY THEM"
That is why, when I said 'act wisely,' three young people came to the front of my office last night after midnight, wearing Palestinian keffiyehs on their heads, with similar things over their mouths, and a Palestinian flag in their hands, and protested me. They couldn't come during the day. They came at night. Then they posted it on social media. I pity them. I feel sorry, I feel sorry on their behalf. Because they say we are members of an association. I provided them, that association, with more help than even their own fathers did."
