Burcu Köksal receives her certificate of election in Afyon

Burcu Köksal, the CHP candidate in the March 31 local elections, was elected Mayor of Afyonkarahisar by receiving 50.79 percent of the votes according to unofficial results. Köksal, who received her certificate of election, shared these moments on her X account. 

Köksal's statement is as follows:

''The 74-year longing of my Afyonkarahisar has ended; we have brought spring. I thank all of Afyonkarahisar for giving me this pride. We have taken delivery of the trust of our fellow citizens with the certificate of election received. Our greatest capital will be our unity and our will to work. We will work, we will produce, and we will share fairly''

We have taken delivery of the municipal seal, we have ended the 74-year longing. We have started our duty by saying Bismillah.

I will never stray from the path of my Ancestor (Atatürk), from the light of the Republic.
