Cabinet meets today: What is on the agenda?

The Presidential Cabinet is meeting today under the chairmanship of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The prominent topics at the Cabinet meeting, which is expected to begin at 15:30, are the tension between Israel and Palestine and the planned increase for retirees.

HE HAD POINTED TO THE FIRST CABINET MEETING FOR THE PENSION INCREASE

Speaking at the 4th Extraordinary Congress of the AKP, Erdoğan made a statement regarding the pensions that millions are waiting for and pointed to the Cabinet meeting. 

Erdoğan had stated, "Our ministry is currently working on it, and we will announce our new good news to our retired civil servants after our first Cabinet meeting, God willing."

Making a statement on the subject, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan had said, "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will share with our nation the work regarding our workers, civil servants, and Bağ-Kur retirees, which he promised as good news, after the Cabinet meeting."

OPERATIONS ALSO ON THE AGENDA

Operations launched following the attempted bomb attack on the Ministry of Interior and air operations conducted in northern Iraq and Syria will be on the Cabinet's agenda. Under this heading, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya are expected to make presentations to the Cabinet members.

The tension between Israel and Palestine is also being closely monitored by Ankara. Israel's declaration of war following Hamas's attack will be addressed in the Cabinet. 

CABINET DECISIONS DATED SEPTEMBER 26

In the last Cabinet meeting held on September 26, the legislative proposal regarding the Family and Youth Bank, the sale of tax-free mobile phones and computers to students, and the regulation for 10 GB of free monthly internet for 12 months were discussed.
