The Republican People's Party (CHP) will hold a primary election on Sunday, March 23, to determine its presidential candidate.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who will participate in the election as the sole candidate, issued a call to party members in a video published on YouTube.

İmamoğlu stated, "The ballot boxes we will set up across the country on March 23 will be a nightmare for those who fear the ballot box."

In his call made via social media, Ekrem İmamoğlu used the following expressions:

"Let us definitely go to the polls this Sunday."

"Let us give the government a shake."

"Let us remind them to their faces that the owner of the seat they occupy is the nation."

"There is no salvation alone, come on, let us all go to duty together."
