Call from İYİ Party's Mehmet Akalın to Koray Aydın, who is alleged to be resigning: 'I invite you to reconsider your decision'

The fact that the İYİ Party did not achieve the desired result in the March 31 local elections and that former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener met with President and AKP Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Palace has sparked debates within the party.

Following İYİ Party Ankara MP Koray Aydın's call for Meral Akşener to 'explain what you discussed,' the debates within the party intensified.

Following these developments, allegations appeared in the press that Aydın and his colleagues, who are uncomfortable with what is happening in the party, would resign from the İYİ Party.

Mehmet Tolga Akalın, who has held various positions in the İYİ Party, issued a call to Aydın, who is alleged to be resigning, via his social media account.

Akalın used the following expressions:

''For the last few weeks, intelligence assessments have been made in various media outlets regarding the fact that Mr. Koray Aydın will resign.

It is also known that for the last few days, Mr. Aydın has been calling his close circle and informing them that he will resign this Thursday.

There is someone who should resign from the İYİ Party, and/but that person is not Koray Aydın.

I invite the İYİ Party headquarters to show active effort regarding the process, and I invite Mr. Koray Aydın to act with common sense and reconsider his decision.''
