The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that diplomatic missions serving abroad are continuing their operations without interruption, advising Turkish citizens to closely follow security updates issued in the countries where they reside.
Speaking on behalf of the Ministry, Öncü Keçeli emphasized that recent developments are being carefully monitored in terms of the safety of citizens abroad. The statement noted that embassies and consulates general are working in coordination with local authorities and that information regarding the security situation is being updated regularly. It was highlighted that it is important for citizens to follow announcements made by official missions, and it was reminded that hotlines available for emergencies remain open around the clock.
In a statement on his social media account, Keçeli included the following remarks:
"Recent developments are also being closely monitored in terms of the safety of our citizens abroad. Our Embassies and Consulates General in the region are continuing their work without interruption. Announcements regarding the security situation are being updated regularly in coordination with local authorities. It is important for our citizens to follow the announcements made by our Embassies and Consulates General. The emergency hotlines of our missions are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Contact information for our Embassies and Consulates General can be found on their websites. Our Ministry's Consular Call Center also continues to serve our citizens without interruption (+90 312 292 29 29)."
