Caught in Gümüşhane: New development regarding the suspect who threatened Minguzzi's family

Following the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in Kadıköy, Istanbul, an individual who praised those involved in the incident on social media and issued threats against his family has been caught in Gümüşhane. The suspect, K.Y., was referred to the courthouse following processing.

As part of digital tracking efforts conducted after the murder, it was determined that K.Y., who made posts on social media glorifying the suspects and targeting the Minguzzi family, was hiding in Gümüşhane. K.Y., who was apprehended and brought to Istanbul, was sent to the Bakırköy Courthouse following questioning at the police station.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On January 24, a dispute broke out for an unknown reason between 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who had gone to a market in Hasanpaşa, Kadıköy with his friends to buy skateboard equipment, and B.B. and U.B. During the argument, B.B. stabbed Minguzzi; the teenager, who fell to the ground, was then kicked by U.B.

Minguzzi, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital by medical teams called to the scene. The two suspects, who fled after the incident, were caught and arrested shortly thereafter. Despite all interventions, Minguzzi passed away on February 9. The trial process for the perpetrators is still ongoing.

On the other hand, 5 other individuals who shared provocative content on social media following the murder were also identified and detained, and these individuals were arrested by the court they were brought before.
