Retired Rear Admiral Cem Gürdeniz evaluated regional and global developments in a new program published on his personal YouTube channel.

In the program, Gürdeniz made assessments regarding France's policies on the Eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus, and Ukraine, while also addressing the latest developments on the Israel-Iran-US axis.

Stating that they sought answers to the questions "Why is France acting so aggressively in the Eastern Mediterranean, in Cyprus, and on the Ukraine file?", "Is there really a move toward a ceasefire on the US-Iran axis?" and "Why does Israel seem so cornered for the first time?" in his post, Gürdeniz analyzed the latest developments in the region.


EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN AND EUROPE'S SEARCH FOR DEFENSE

France's "Greater Mediterranean" approach, its new agreements with the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus, and Europe's efforts to establish a defense identity were also evaluated in the program.

While addressing the geopolitical developments that he stated Turkey is facing, Gürdeniz shared his views on energy competition and the regional power struggle in the Eastern Mediterranean.

NATO, MONTREUX, AND THE UKRAINE WAR ON THE TABLE

The NATO summit, the Montreux regime, the war in Ukraine, the France-Greece-GCASC cooperation, and the strategic options ahead for Turkey were also brought to the agenda in the program.
