Cem Küçük names Narin Güran's killer: 'The state will explain the rest, I cannot...'

The investigation continues into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who was reported missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later.

In the murder case that has dominated Turkey's agenda, 11 people, including Narin's mother, brother, and uncle, have been arrested.

While the testimonies of the detained suspects continue to emerge, journalist Cem Küçük, known for his proximity to the government, has put forward a highly controversial claim regarding the investigation.

"THE STATE WILL EXPLAIN THE REST, I CANNOT"

Claiming that Narin was killed by her brother Enes Güran, Küçük said the following:

"19-year-old brother Enes Güran was doing something (I will say only that much, the state will explain the rest, I cannot) when our daughter Narin saw him. Fearing she would tell others, Enes strangled her. In the meantime, there were fingernail marks, bruising... Enes had fingernail marks on his face, neck, etc., and Narin had signs of strangulation and fingernail marks on her face. She died in that moment."

"HER MOTHER SAW IT AND DID NOT INTERVENE"

Claiming that Narin's mother, Yüksel Güran, also witnessed the murder, Küçük continued:

"The prosecutors are in a state of uncertainty, this is clear information; did the mother help, or did she only witness her daughter's death? This is not known for certain. One of the prosecutors thinks the mother helped, while the other thinks she did not help but turned a blind eye, saying, 'Since she saw this, let her die'."
